Within this role, your responsibilities will include:

You will work closely with the commercial departments globally and travel to vessels when required.

Loss Prevention Associate, London

Spinnaker is currently seeking a Loss Prevention Associate to work for a client of ours, a highly esteemed P&I club based in London.

Within this role, some of your responsibilities will include conducting presentations to P&I club members in regards to ship safety information, as well as producing brochures and other safety-related materials to hand out at these meetings.

Suitable candidates should have claims experience from previous working knowledge, either within a law firm, P&I club or in-house business. You should also have sailing experience as a Senior Officer and be confident enough to give presentations efficiently to large numbers.

Fleet Coordinator, Cardiff

A privately owned, UK based shipowning and shipping investment company is looking for a Fleet Coordinator to work in their offices based in Cardiff, UK as part of the company’s growth plans.

The role is ideally suited to a dynamic and flexible individual with a proven track record in ship operations and management. The role will involve assisting and coordinating operational, crewing, HSEQ, purchasing and administrative functions.

The successful applicant will be resilient, able to learn quickly and adaptable in order to support the shipboard and shorebased operations of a growing shipping company. Technical Project Manager, Germany

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to work with our client, a well-renowned ship-owner based in Germany.

This is a diverse role, and the overall responsibilities of this individual will be to support the company with the running of all transhipment and new-building projects globally. As well as this, you will have to manage all of the budgets and negotiations for these projects.

The suitable candidate would ideally have seagoing experience as an Engineer or Deck Officer with a strong technical background and a hands-on approach to their job. Up to 7 years’ experience is the ideal scope for this role.
Candidates should be diligent with admin work such as budget preparations and paperwork, and be willing to travel as this role may entail up to 100 days travelling per year.

Candidates would preferably have experience with bulk carriers or handling cargoes such as petrol, coal, iron, etc.

Director Environmental Operations, West London

This role will ensure full compliance of all environmental aspects for this organisations growing fleet of vessels in accordance with maritime environmental rules, regulations as well as company policy.

You will be responsible for providing support and coordination for shipboard Environmental Compliance Officers for daily fleet operations. You will oversee the waste disposal program and provide support to the Port Operations department.

Your responsibility will cover the implementation, administration and auditing of the SMS environmental policies and procedures.

This role will support the technical department in all aspects of on board environment systems. Reporting to the VP, Environmental Operations & Compliance you will be instrumental in the development of new environmental equipment and systems for use on Company’s ships.

To be considered for this position, you will have be able to demonstrate experience within the fields of safety, environmental, engineering and/or regulatory affairs.

You will be able to demonstrate experience with ISM Code and Safety Management Systems.

Experience with Internal auditing, preferably as lead auditor will be highly advantageous.

Marine Assurance Manager, East of England

In this role, you will work with the marine assurance team and report into the Global Marine Manager.

You will be responsible for handing marine assurance and HSEQ matters for STS operations in the EMEA region, identifying areas of improvement, putting together monthly reports for the STS management team and providing technical expertise to clients, and both the operation and sales teams.

You will carry out assessments and audits, assist in the development, review and issue of risk assessments, and promote and report near misses and incidents.

Suitable candidates will have sailed up to the rank of Master Mariner on board oil tankers and have previous experience with STS and a strong understanding of marine regulations and guidelines.
