We are currently partnered with a major international supplier and trader of bunker fuels globally who are in the process of a major expansion project. Part of this is to bring a Bunker Operator into their team in Port Elizabeth.

Our client are pioneers in the bunker space and have made big strides ahead of the market in entering the digital space and with their carbon offset platform. They are looking at more physical locations globally as part of their wider growth which will further establish them as the major international supplier of bunker fuel.

This is a great opportunity for a Bunker Operator to join a growing and high-performance team to oversee regional bunkering operations. Our client is ideally looking for someone with a Chief Officer’s CoC with a tanker endorsement.

Technical Superintendent – Chemical/Product – Cyprus

A tanker operator is looking for a Technical Superintendent for their offices in Cyprus.

Ideally you will be a Chief Engineer on oil & chemical tankers and minimum 3 years shore experience in tanker management. You will have a wide knowledge and experience of maintaining a range of machinery types and systems, an in-depth understanding of structural steel and piping maintenance and repairs and relevant Class rules, be fully aware of ISM/ISPS/MLC/Flag Audits/Vetting Inspections and classification survey requirements and comfortable in relating to flag/class/PSC surveyors/inspectors. A good appreciation of the commercial needs of the tanker business and an ability to manage vessels within strict budgets is also required.

You will also have a pro-active approach to the monitoring of crew and ships performance, safety management, planning and attendance to all kind of deck/machinery repairs.

The role involves installing, fault finding and general servicing of equipment with a large part of the job often relating to interfacing so experience with NMEA and Ethernet / IP would be highly desired.

• Review all documents, risk assessments, task plans, etc.
• Ensure maintenance of all equipment
• Maintain good safety standards on board
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors

Suitable candidates should have:
• A good level of offshore experience as a Chief Mater or Master Mariner onboard Jack-Up Barges
• All standard offshore certifications (Huet/Bosiet, H2S, etc.)

Candidates should be able to speak English fluently.
