Managing Director, Executive Search

Teresa has worked in Recruitment and Search for more than three decades and for Spinnaker since 2008.

Prior to Spinnaker, she completed a management buyout of the Locum Group, and subsequent trade sale to Reed Health, after growing the business from a staff of 25 to 180.

Teresa has experience across a wide range of industries, which includes recruitment projects all over the world.  Her vast experience means she is perfectly suited to developing and delivering tailored recruitment solutions for Spinnaker’s clients.

Teresa specialises in Executive Search for Spinnaker which recruits and places leadership talent globally. Teresa is respected for her market knowledge and discretion. Clients use her executive search service for board-level positions, difficult-to-fill assignments, and those in obscure locations.

Teresa has been voted one of the ‘Top 100 Women in Shipping’ for five consecutive years by AllAboutShipping.co.uk.

Spinnaker’s Executive Search division was named Executive Search Partner of the Year in 2021 by the Global Ports Council.

Teresa has many appointments including a Board Member of the Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association (WISTA), a Fellow of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals, an active participant in the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Women in Work and a member of the Maritime UK Diversity in Maritime Taskforce.

Teresa is actively involved in helping young people at school prepare job applications and mock interviews. She is also involved with promoting careers within shipping, with the ‘Inspiring the Future’ project, which connects schools and colleges with employers and people from the world of work.
