Fleet Manager – Aberdeen

A leading player in the global offshore shipping sector is looking for a dynamic and experienced Fleet Manager to lead the operational and technical performance of a high-specification fleet. This is a critical leadership role for someone passionate about safety, vessel integrity, team performance, and delivering best-in-class maritime operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Full operational responsibility for the assigned fleet of offshore vessels.
- Ensure safe and compliant vessel management aligned with Class, Flag, and international regulations.
- Lead budget preparation and control, including OPEX and CAPEX for assigned vessels.
- Direct and support the maintenance, inspections, and technical performance of the fleet.
- Maintain relationships with Classification Societies, Flag States, and key regulators.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement fleet-wide lessons learned.
- Actively engage and mentor offshore leadership and vessel management teams.
- Deliver performance reporting, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support docking, upgrade, and dry dock planning and execution in collaboration with project teams.
- Contribute to chartering and tendering through technical input and vessel performance insights.
What We’re Looking For
- Marine Engineering degree or STCW II/2 or III/2 (Master or Chief Engineer).
- Senior-level experience managing offshore vessels in a fleet or senior vessel management capacity.
- Proven leadership skills with a proactive, safety-first mindset.
- Strong commercial and budgeting acumen.
- Experience with OSVs or other complex offshore vessels is a strong advantage.
- Comfortable working in multicultural, fast-paced, operational environments.
- Fluent in English; German is a bonus.
