This Area Sales Manager role is about more than just chasing volume. It’s centred on consultative selling to a technical audience across the maritime sector.
You’ll be representing a full stack of network, IT, and connectivity services, designed specifically for vessel operators, shipowners, and fleets.
You’ll be expected to lead sales planning in your region, grow existing client accounts, and secure new long-term business.
The sales cycles are not short – clients won’t be won over by charm. They’re interested in reliability, integration, and long-term value.
You’ll need to understand how to talk about hybrid networks, onboard IT environments, bandwidth demand, and compliance – or be ready to learn fast.
You’ll work alongside internal product, operations, and commercial teams, but will have a high level of independence in managing your accounts. The work is data-led, but success still depends on how well you engage with people – particularly technical and procurement contacts.
The role is based in Athens, with regular travel expected. If you’re used to working across the shipping or tech sectors and know what it means to navigate large, structured clients – this may be a good match.
