Client Executive – South East England
A leading independent marine insurance specialist is seeking an experienced Client Executive to take on a senior position within their South East England marine division. This individual will work closely with key shipping clients and support the business in delivering high-level, tailored risk solutions across Hull & Machinery and related lines.
With a team of over 60 marine professionals and a growing number of junior hires, the business is focused on succession planning and knowledge transfer from experienced practitioners to up-and-coming talent.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary client contact, providing strategic advice and overseeing placement execution.
• Attend meetings with shipowners and corporate clients across the UK and internationally.
• Collaborate with brokers and technicians to ensure service delivery meets expectations.
• Review and approve contract documents and placement terms.
• Develop internal talent by mentoring junior staff and sharing technical insight.
• Support the firm’s growth plans and contribute to operational improvements.

Requirements:

• 5–10 years of experience in marine insurance, ideally within a client-facing role.
• Strong technical understanding of Hull & Machinery, with additional exposure to Cargo or Liability advantageous.
• Previous experience working with shipowners or in a shipping company welcomed.
• Proven ability to manage high-value clients with complex needs.
• Hybrid working arrangement – candidates should be able to attend the office in South East England and work flexibly from home or London/Ipswich.
