Commercial Sales Manager – North & Central England

As an experienced Port Agent, have you thought about, or wanted to be more client facing?
Have you not been given the opportunity to show you commercial skills?
We’re looking for someone who wants to step out of the operational side of port agency and be meeting with customers face-to-face, understanding their problems and discussing the solutions they need to solve them.
If you’ve reached the point where you can go no further as a Senior Ship’s Agent; you’ve reached a “glass ceiling” and want to be working with directors a higher level on the commercial side, this could be your opportunity.
This is a sales role, and you will be targeted on your performance of bringing in business for the company for the Central England region, right up to the Scottish boarder.
You’ll be happy and willing to travel to meet customers.
Sales experience is not essential, but you will need to know port agency inside out, and be comfortable with communicating with senior executives, charterers and shipowners.
On top of your base salary, there will be a commission element based on your sales performance, as well as a company car allowance scheme.
