Spinnaker has partnered with a global ship management company for the hire of an Interim Financial Reporting Manager to join their London office. This is a 6 month FTC with potential to be increased to 9 months.

This is an expansion role that seeks a high calibre Chartered Accountant to support the department whom is amidst an ERP system implementation. This is a position that will suit either a candidate that has an audit background, able to quickly assess a department and apply themselves to the needs of the function. Or someone with a strong shipping background who can hit the ground running from an understanding of the industry perspective.

This position will see you reviewing quarterly consolidated financial statements, financial analysis, reporting and supporting Board presentations. You will have an adaptable and collaborative working style able to cover the preparation of such outputs where existing employees will be required for the ERP implementation project.

To be successful in this position, you will draw on your contracting or transformation background, able to familiarise yourself with the business quickly and drive forward a department during a significant business change.

You will have a strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS) and an analytical and problem-soling approach. Someone who can present to senior management and apply strong communication skills in discussing financial matters and department progress will work well within this team.

Good working knowledge of a complex accounting system as well as Microsoft Office (ideally Microsoft Dynamics) is essential for this position. Exposure to a financial ERP accounting system change, would be highly advantageous.

Existing UK working entitlement is essential for this position and candidates must be based within commutable distance of their Mayfair office. Whilst hybrid working is available long term, a successful candidate would be largely remote. In office training and on-boarding offered for this position.
