Port Agency Sales Manager – Remote, Europe
You’ll be the European representative for this South American vessel husbandry and port agency company.
The goal will be to use your contacts, knowledge and experience in the maritime industry to meet with ship owners, ship managers, charterers, traders, and cargo owners to utilise the company services when vessels call into South America.
There will be a particular target on dry bulk and tanker vessels, for owners’ matters in the region.
Following up on enquiries and securing face-to-face meetings will be your objective. Increasing business volume will be your aim.
The expectation is not for huge, international contracts, but providing a service that meets the client’s needs and makes a difference to their South American transits.
While enquiries will need to be followed up on, you’ll also be able to spot opportunities to develop business and take a lead in your own business development.
This will be a remote based position in Europe, with travel in Europe and internationally expected. You’ll also make regular visits to the company HQ in South America.
Salary will be a combination of base salary and commission on sales.
Entitlement to live and work in a European country already is required.
