Our client are looking for a Chartering Manager based in Singapore to join their Handy/Supramax desk.

Job Responsibilities:
• To continuously evaluate the market conditions.
• To calculate and price shipping deals.
• To negotiate and fix charter parties.
• To maintain a good communication with the internal network (e.g. other offices and departments).
• To maintain existing and develop new relationships with clients, brokers, agents, owners and charterers.
• To closely follow the performance of voyages and work closely with the Operations Department.

Qualifications/Skills:
• Must have a minimum of 4 years experience in Chartering.
• Experience on the Handy and Supramax trades is preferred, but not required.
• Be self-motivated and independent, but able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Have a commercial mindset combined with good interpersonal skills.
• Be reliable, proactive and professional.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is required.
• Able to travel internationally
