Our client is looking for a QHSE Director for their company based in Europe.

As QHSE Director you will have the full responsibility for the fleet with regards to all aspects of safety, security and environmental protection and to keep all ships at the highest standards.

You will be part of the leadership team within the Fleet Department, ensuring efficient communication amongst each other as well as to build a strong information flow with all commercial units, the ships and other departments within the company.

You will run your own department that includes motivation of team members, development of the team and to ensure that the high quality standards of the company and the industry are being met. Visiting authorities, attending meetings with clients as well as representing the company at international shipping events are also part of your area of responsibility.

The candidate will possess a nautical license of Master Mariner or Chief Officer. They will also have excellent written and spoken English, and good knowledge of international shipping rules and regulations.

Previous experience working at director level required.
