Our client is looking for a VTS Supervisor to join their team based in the Middle East

You will be responsible for directing & supervising VTS operations during an allocated watch period in order to ensure safe & effective vessel traffic management within the assigned VTS Area, by adhering to the VTS main roles of giving vessels expert advice, information and instruction as per International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA) guidelinesand port regulations, often through processes that may be complex and require quick solutions while under pressure

You will have relevant experience as well as a Class 2 Master Mariner Foreign Going certificate of competency or equivalent and a GMDSS certificate. You will also have a IALA V-103/1 VTS Operator certificate and have a excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.

Knowledge of international regulations for the prevention of collision at sea, legal liabilities of a VTS centre and of operational rules and procedures for a VTS are also required.
