Our client, a marine insurance provider, is seeking a Claims Handler to join the team in Norway.

The Claims Handler will be part of a well-established marine claims team, so support will be on hand when needed.

The role involves managing claims from beginning to settlement, such as marine casualties including vessel hull and machinery (H&M) and property damage on behalf of the shipowner. You’ll have direct contact with clients and third parties, negotiating the best possible outcome and keeping in constant communication with stakeholders throughout the process of the claim. You’ll have the opportunity to meet clients in person, so some travel will be required. The Claims Handler will also be involved in analysing data with the underwriting team for loss prevention.
