We are currently partnered with a multinational logistics group to help with their hire of a Commercial Assistant to join their London team.

You role:
• Assess and respond to enquiries from the Line’s Agency Network with a quote for all non-containerized cargoes i.e. roro and breakbulk cargoes of all kinds.
• Assist the relevant Commercial Manager to maintain standard Tariffs and develop Tender submissions.
• Track the relevant market segments for changes in competition, market rate levels, market composition and Line’s Performance through reports from the Agency network, the trade press, trade statistics and internal performance statistics.
• Develop and maintain good contacts with colleagues in the Agency network and maintain and improve these by means of occasional visits and visits to client with colleagues in the Agency network.

Profile Requirements:
• Preferably degree level education but minimum A level standard and be numerate.
• A professional qualification such as Membership of the ICS.
• Commercial experience in the roro and/or breakbulk and out of gauge segments of shipping.
