An international Dry Bulk Owner/Operator is looking for a Senior Operations Manager to join their team in Montreal.
Ideally, you will have at least 7-8+ years’ experience in a similar operations role including managerial experience, dry bulk cargo experience would be beneficial. You will be working directly with the and vice president of operations on ongoing projects. You will supervise and manage operation services and personnel, involving cargo documentation, auditing, laytime and port disbursement, optimisation of revenue and approval of billings and payments including freight, contract claims and vendor invoices.
Problem-solving skills, positive thinking, continual improvement & development and the ability to control costs are needed for this role, you will also be required to motivate, mentor and coach your team requiring good leadership skills.

A global organisation specialising in oil transportation with a large fleet of VLCC tankers is currently recruiting for an experienced Voyage Manager for their operations team in Dubai.
Our client will be looking to hire an ex-Master Mariner or Chief Officer who in recent years has gained commercial vessel operations experience with crude tankers.
You will be responsible for coordinating with customers for all cargo nominations and other matters of voyage management, liaise with Chartering, Technical Managers and Finance to ensure vessel clearance and acceptability for any proposed voyage.
Furthermore, you will assume delegated responsibility of Senior Voyage Manager in their absence, compile monthly lifting and load program and distribute to all relevant parties when assigned by Senior Manager and support, advise, mentor and train more junior staff.
Ideally, candidates will be based in Dubai but our client is open to relocating the right candidate.
