A leading shipping company is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Manager to spearhead their Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service teams in Tanzania.
This role will focus on driving revenue growth and expanding market share.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement local sales strategies to increase market share and revenue in import/export activities.
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve targets and align with regional and headquarters objectives.
- Customer Relations: Build strong client relationships through joint visits with sales reps and partners.
- Forecasting & Budgeting: Oversee forecasting and budgeting to align with company goals.
- Market Insights: Analyze market trends and submit performance reports to headquarters.
- Collaboration: Work closely with operations and regional offices to deliver intermodal solutions and manage cargo.
- Customer Accounts: Ensure timely payments and manage customer accounts in collaboration with Credit Control.
Must Have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, commerce, or related field.
- Significant experience in sales, marketing, or trade within the container shipping, logistics, or liner industry.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage customer relationships.
