QHSE Senior Superintendent

Our client, an OSV operator, is seeking a HSEQ Senior Superintendent to join their Qatar office. This role is responsible for leading Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) initiatives across onshore and offshore operations within the region. The successful candidate will act as the primary HSE point of contact for our client and play a key role in driving compliance, performance improvement, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities

• Act as the main HSE point of contact for the client within the region.
• Ensure effective implementation of the companies processes and procedures both onshore and offshore.
• Manage and support internal and external ISM/ISPS audits, ensuring timely closure of corrective actions.
• Lead or support incident investigations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor HSEQ performance, analyse trends, and recommend improvement actions.
• Oversee subcontractor compliance with the companies standards and procedures.
• Provide HSEQ input and advice for safe systems of work, tenders, and bids.
• Ensure emergency preparedness across all sites and teams.
• Collect, review, and analyse HSEQ data and submit client reports in a timely manner.
• Implement regional HSEQ initiatives and safety campaigns.
• Conduct offshore visits (approximately 30%) within Qatar, Northern Europe, and KSA.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality roles.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate preferred.
• Certified Internal Auditor in at least one management system (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, or ISO 14001).
• Internal Auditor certification in ISM is advantageous.
• DPA Training certificate.
• Root cause analysis training is advantageous.
