A long-established international ship registry is looking for a Registration Officer to join its London team. This role focuses on managing vessel registrations, supporting clients, and ensuring all transactions meet national and international maritime requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end vessel registration processes, including deliveries, ownership changes, court sales and mortgages.
- Guide clients through registration procedures and statutory requirements.
- Prepare and review documentation, update internal systems and issue ship certificates.
- Manage the team inbox and maintain accurate records.
- Support and train junior team members as needed.
Requirements Essential
- Degree-level education (law preferred).
- Experience in a ship registry, flag administration or marine registration role.
- Strong client service background; experience working with lawyers is beneficial.
- Ability to understand mortgage instruments.
- Knowledge of IMO conventions (SOLAS, MARPOL, etc.).
- Familiarity with vessel registration databases.
Desirable
- Experience with document management systems.
- Exposure to marine business or insurance sectors.
