Marketing & Business Development Manager

Helen heads up the marketing and business development team at Spinnaker. She has worked in sales & marketing for nearly 25 years having started her career in publishing in London for global magazine brands such as Good Housekeeping and Cosmopolitan.

Helen joined Spinnaker in 2016 initially with a focus on growing membership to the Maritime HR Association. Her role now includes managing the annual conference, memberships to both the Maritime HR Association and Seafarer Employers’ Association and overseeing all marketing activities for the company. In 2023 she was awarded ‘Employee of the Year’ at Spinnaker.

She graduated in 2000 with a 2:1 in International Business and Modern Languages from Aston University which included a year studying in Grenoble in the French Alps. This not only fostered her love of travelling but is where she learned to ski and snowboard.

You might not know that when she was younger (and less fearless) she sky-dived in New Zealand.
