Marine Surveyor – Athens

About the Role:
  
As a Marine Surveyor, you will play a vital role in conducting surveys and investigations onboard various types of vessels. Your expertise will contribute to ensuring maritime safety, loss prevention, and claims assessments. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with global stakeholders, including insurance markets, P&I clubs, and ship registries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting marine damage and loss prevention surveys (H&M and P&I) for Bulkers, Tankers, Containers and some Yachts. 
• Investigating marine incidents and compiling detailed reports with findings.
• Maintaining timely and professional correspondence with clients.
• Collaborating with surveyors and technical teams across multiple offices.
• Traveling within Greece and internationally as required.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• University degree in a relevant field and a background from a Classification Society, or Surveying Firm.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Mariner Surveyor.
• Alternatively, Merchant Marine Academy education with seagoing experience (Engine Room) on merchant vessels.
• Proficiency in MS Office and fluent English communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
