Operations Manager (Bulk)- Dubai

On behalf of our client, a well-established international bulk shipping group, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join their Dubai office.

Our client is a respected player in the bulk shipping industry with a diverse bulk fleet operating globally. They maintain high standards of performance and are looking to strengthen their operational capabilities with this key appointment.
 
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a maritime professional with operational experience to take on a leadership role. You will head a small operations department responsible for the efficient management of a fleet of bulk vessels of various sizes.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the bulk vessel fleet
• Oversee scheduling, route planning, and operational efficiency
• Coordinate with vessel masters, port authorities, and clients
• Ensure compliance with maritime regulations and safety standards
• Build and develop a capable operations team
• Work closely with the Head of Chartering to optimize fleet deployment
• Troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutions

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience in maritime operations management
• Seagoing background – a significant advantage
• In-depth knowledge of bulk shipping operations and procedures
• Strong leadership qualities and team management skills
