Head of Operations – Middle East

A prestigious maritime client seeks an experienced Marine Operations leader to oversee fleet performance and maintain exemplary standards in safety, compliance and operational efficiency. This senior role involves comprehensive oversight of third-party managers, ensuring vessels operate to the highest standards of safety, performance and reliability, whilst safeguarding commercial interests and ensuring adherence to international regulations, port requirements and vetting expectations.

The position offers the opportunity to influence vessel performance, drive optimisation initiatives, manage cargo operations, conduct audits and incident investigations, and support emergency response protocols whilst collaborating with a diverse and high-performing team.

With substantial operational and leadership responsibilities, the ideal candidate will possess extensive deep-sea experience as a Master Mariner on gas carriers, complemented by shore-based operational management expertise. You should hold a degree in Nautical Science or related discipline, STCW certification, and a minimum of 12 years’ experience in similar maritime leadership roles.
