A well-established ship management company is seeking to appoint a proactive and experienced HSSEQ Superintendent. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing and maintaining compliance with the International Safety Management (ISM) Code both ashore and onboard, ensuring alignment with TMSA/DryBMS standards, ISO certifications, and the company’s Safety Management System (SMS). Responsibilities will include conducting internal audits, leading incident investigations, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement in health, safety, security, environmental and quality performance.
Applicants should hold a Master Mariner’s qualification or a university degree in Marine Engineering, with previous experience in a similar HSSEQ function considered a strong advantage. Familiarity with ISM, ISPS, ISO 9001 and 14001 standards is essential, as is the ability to work effectively under pressure, independently and as part of a team. Strong interpersonal, communication and report-writing skills, a professional mindset, and a willingness to travel globally at short notice are also key requirements. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to the safety culture of a forward-thinking maritime organisation.
