A vessel owner is seeking a highly experienced and driven Marine Manager to lead the safe, compliant, and cost-effective management of their fleet. This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring excellence across marine operations, health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) performance.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining operational integrity, regulatory compliance, and financial discipline across all fleet activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective management of the Company’s fleet.
- Lead and manage all crewing functions, ensuring compliance, competency, and crew welfare.
- Oversee Marine QA/QC functions, driving continuous improvement and adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Actively supervise Designated Person Ashore (DPA) functions, ensuring compliance with ISM Code and all relevant maritime regulations.
- Develop, manage, and control budgets for all vessels, ensuring financial targets are achieved.
- Promote a strong HSSE culture, ensuring adherence to company policies and international safety and environmental standards.
Key Requirements
- Extensive experience in marine operations, ship management, or fleet management, ideally in a senior role.
- Strong knowledge of HSSE frameworks, ISM Code, and international maritime regulations.
- Proven track record in budget management and cost control within the maritime industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in QA/QC, DPA responsibilities, and crewing operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
