1. Introduction
- This Refer-a-Friend Scheme (the "Scheme") is offered by Spinnaker Global Ltd ("Spinnaker", "we", "us", "our") to thank referrers for referring potential candidates ("candidates") for job vacancies. By participating in the Scheme, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
2. Eligibility
- The referrer must be over 18 years of age.
- Referrals will be paid for candidates even if they are already registered with Spinnaker if we/they have not had any contact with each other regarding job opportunities in the past 12 months.
3. Payment Terms
- If the referred candidate is successfully placed in a role, the referrer will receive a £1,000 referral fee.
- Payment will be made within 30 days of the fee earned from the referred candidate's placement becoming non-refundable (which is usually three months after their start date).
- Payments will be made via bank transfer. The referrer is responsible for providing accurate payment details and may choose to direct the payment to a charity should they wish to do so.
4. Referral Process
- Referrals should be submitted via the Refer-a-Friend form on www.spinnaker-global.com but we will honour referrals directly to a Spinnaker recruitment consultant that are evidenced in writing and which refer to the Refer-a-Friend scheme.
- The referrer must provide the candidate's full name, contact information (and, if available and with the consent of the candidate, a copy of their CV).
5. Data Protection
- You should only refer someone if you have obtained the referred person's express consent to share their personal data with Spinnaker.
- We will process all personal data provided in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and our Privacy Policy, available on our website.
6. Exclusions and Limitations
- The Scheme applies only to permanent and fixed-term contract placements of at least 3 months in duration; it does not apply to temporary or freelance roles (of which we do very little).
- No referral fee will be payable if:
- We have to refund the recruitment fee.
- Our fee is less than £2,000.
- The referred candidate declines the role, withdraws from the recruitment process or leaves the job requiring us to refund the recruitment fee.
- The referred candidate is already registered with Spinnaker and we/they have been in contact with each other regarding job opportunities in the past 12 months.
- Only one referral fee will be paid per candidate. If multiple referrers refer the same candidate, the fee will be paid to the first eligible referrer subject to them evidencing that they had the candidate's express consent to make the referral at the time it was made.
7. Taxation
Referral fees could be considered taxable income, and should that be the case it is the responsibility of the referrer to declare the payment to their tax authority and pay any taxes due.
8. Termination and Amendment
- We reserve the right to amend or terminate the Scheme at any time without notice.
- Any referrals submitted before termination or amendment will be honoured in accordance with the Terms and Conditions in effect at the time of the referral.
9. General
The Scheme is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Declaration
By submitting a referral, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions and agree to abide by them.
