Spinnaker is a company with a global presence situated in Leigh-on-Sea, just 45mins from London. Spinnaker’s proximity to the Thames Estuary means we see container ships, cargo vessels and ferries travelling past our offices throughout our working day. We have a sea view from our boardroom!

We have a team of maritime recruiters and researchers, a team of HR experts and data analysts, and our operations team which includes finance, marketing, IT and administrative support, all based in our UK office.

Business Development Consultant, Leigh-on-Sea

We are seeking an experienced salesperson with a proven ability in new business acquisition to generate revenue for Spinnaker, a maritime company based in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex.

You will have a record of exceptional achievement in sales, and have excellent communication and presentation skills.

Reporting into the Business Development Manager, you will source new business and develop the division’s four main revenue sources: two membership bodies, a leadership development programme, and the annual conference.

Your skills are:

  • 3 years’ minimum sales experience
  • Ability to sell multiple products and services and speak fluently and articulately about them
  • Record of exceeding sales goals
  • Well-developed administrative and territory management skills
  • Team player
  • Energetic, confident, passionate and hungry for success
  • A passion and aptitude for consultative selling
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Fluency in English
