Seafarers Awareness Week is taking place 24-30 June 2017 and to celebrate the run-up, there is a launch on Thursday 9 February in London, at sponsor Inmarsat's offices.
The theme of Seafarers Awareness Week this year is twofold; 'Maritime Jobs at Sea and Ashore' and 'Ports for Prosperity' – both relate directly to our work here at Spinnaker.
We're in our 20th year of recruiting for the maritime industry in shore-based jobs, and our HR Consulting department is this year launching salary benchmarking for seafarers, so both seagoing and shore-based jobs are very close to our hearts. And as for ports, we know the importance of ports in the UK for our economy, particularly with a looming Brexit, so we're delighted to support Seafarers Awareness Week 2017.
