As specialists in salary benchmarking within the shipping industry, here at HR Consulting we are once again starting work on our unique P&I and Marine Liability Salary Survey. Following our success of previous P&I surveys, which included participation of the majority of International Group P&I Clubs and other marine insurance companies, we are predicting a brilliant year. The last P&I salary survey took place in 2014 and included over 1,600 incumbents in 26 P&I roles from a total of 10 countries. In 2016 we aim to collect even more data to increase the number of regions and countries reported.
The report will include roles in Claims (both qualified and non-qualified) as well as Underwriting and Loss Prevention from junior to director level. Alongside the benchmarking of base salaries, total compensation and bonuses, the report will include analysis of common benefits such as healthcare, leave benefits, pensions, LTIPs as well as a pay review.
We’ve already invited a number of P&I and Marine Liability companies to participate, with data collection just beginning! Data entry closes at the end of June with the final report being published later in July.
