Multiport Ships Agencies Network – Annual General Meeting & 40th Anniversary Cocktail Reception.
On the 14th –16th October 2018, the Multiport Ships Agencies Network hosted their Annual General Meeting and 40th Anniversary Cocktail Reception at the Hyatt Regency London – the Churchill.
Founded in 1978, Multiport is the world’s largest network of independent port agents handling in excess of 180,000 port calls annually. The event was attended by 93 members representing nearly 85% of our membership and over 150 guests from the local shipping community in London.
Multiport were incredibly grateful to Phil Parry, Chairman of Spinnaker Global, who participated and chaired two Panel Discussions on Wednesday 16th October. The first panel focussed on the Future of London as Maritime Hub and included Susan Oatway (Vice Chairman, Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers), Jos Standerwick (CEO Maritime London) and Charlotte Kirk (ITIC/Thomas Miller). The second panel looked at general Shipping Trends where Phil was joined by Stephen Gordon (Clarkson Research), Richard Clayton (Lloyds List) and Martin Dixon (Drewry).
