The Menopause in the Workplace Series: The Pause Effect

  • Jan 28, 2026
  • Reading Time: 3 mins

Menopause affects millions of women in the workforce, including many of the most experienced, capable and strategically important leaders between 45 and 60.
Yet the impact on performance, safety and decision-making is still rarely understood or planned for.

With new menopause reporting requirements arriving in the UK in 2026/27 for companies over 250 employees, organisations now have a real opportunity to strengthen retention, improve wellbeing and support a vital part of their talent pipeline.

This Menopause in the workplace series focuses on:

  • What’s coming in 2027;
  • How menopause affects performance, leadership and safety;
  • What companies are already doing that works; and
  • What to prioritise this quarter to stay ahead.

The evidence is clear, the right support reduces sick absence, boosts engagement, and helps women stay and lead longer.
(One example is Partille Kommune in Sweden saved 7 million SEK annually through menopause-focused support.)

Our goal is simple. To help organisations build a workplace where women can perform, progress and stay. In addition to being fully prepared for 2027 and beyond.

Webinar 1 — 24 February 9am GMT

Menopause reporting requirements 2027: What your organisation needs to know

The Pause Effect

Symptoms are rising. The legislation is coming.
With the right approach, companies can turn this into a moment of leadership, not just compliance.

In this first session, we start with what matters most:

A real story from inside maritime

You’ll hear directly from a woman whose symptoms affected her wellbeing, confidence and performance, and how her organisation missed key opportunities to support her.
Her story is honest, relatable, and exactly what leaders need to hear.

Then we break down:

  • What the 2027 menopause reporting requirements involve;
  • How symptoms affect performance, decision-making and safety;
  • Why supporting women at menopause is one of the strongest retention strategies available;
  • What proactive companies are already doing;
  • How evidence-based support reduces absence; and
  • Three actions you can take immediately.

This webinar brings clarity, context and practical steps to help organisations stay ahead and support their people well.

Are We Menopause-Ready?

A 3-Minute Pulse Check

Before the 2027 requirements arrive, every leadership team should pause and ask:
“Are we set up to support the women who hold so much experience, leadership and capability in our organisation?”

This short diagnostic reveals:

  • What you already have in place;
  • Where quick wins are possible;
  • Where risk exposure sits; and
  • How close you are to credible 2027 readiness.

It’s the simplest starting point and often the spark that moves teams from awareness to action.
