Shipping Accountant – Athens

Play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the smooth operation of accounting processes across the fleet. This is a hands-on position ideal for an ambitious accountant looking to deepen their expertise in maritime vessel accounting within a spot market trading environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support internal and external audit processes
• Process daily accounting transactions in the company system
• Prepare journal entries for month-end closing procedures
• Prepare and execute payment batches through online banking platforms
• Issue and reconcile freight and demurrage invoices

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a shipowning company 
• Active ACCA candidate (currently studying)
• Strong technical knowledge of freight and demurrage invoicing
• Experience with shipping ERP platforms used for accounting and operational management
