A leading international marine insurance broker is looking to connect with experienced Marine Brokers to join its growing London team.
This opportunity is ideal for a senior marine insurance professional with a strong broking background who is looking to work with complex international risks, global clients, and a highly experienced marine team.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage and develop client relationships across a range of marine insurance classes, including Hull & Machinery, Cargo, P&I, War, and related marine risks. This role is suited to experienced placing brokers, client brokers, and marine specialists who are looking for the next step within a leading international insurance organisation.
Joining an established marine platform, you will work with a diverse portfolio of clients, collaborate with specialist colleagues across international offices, and play an important role in delivering tailored insurance solutions within the global marine market.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with a portfolio of international marine insurance clients.
- Lead the placement and renewal of complex marine insurance programmes.
- Negotiate with insurers across Lloyd’s and company markets to secure competitive and appropriate solutions.
- Provide specialist advice to clients on marine insurance structures, coverage, and market developments.
- Prepare market submissions, analyse insurer terms, and present recommendations to clients.
- Support business development initiatives through existing relationships and market knowledge.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and wider marine market stakeholders.
- Collaborate with colleagues across different marine specialisms and international offices to deliver a high-quality client service.
Requirements
- Significant experience within marine insurance broking.
- Strong technical knowledge across one or more marine classes, including Hull & Machinery, Cargo, P&I, War, or related risks.
- Proven experience managing client relationships and complex insurance placements.
- Strong understanding of the Lloyd’s and international marine insurance markets.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and deliver client-focused solutions.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a wider team environment.
- Fluent English required.
