Head of Enterprise Architecture – Maritime Technology
Location: Limassol, Cyprus (on site)
We are supporting a growing maritime technology business with the appointment of a Head of Enterprise Architecture to play a central role in a major technology transformation.
The business is moving from fragmented legacy systems towards a unified, cloud-native and data-driven maritime platform, spanning crewing, procurement, maintenance, compliance, fleet operations and customer-facing applications.
Reporting to the Director of Technology, you will become the senior architecture authority, owning the target architecture while establishing and maturing the Enterprise Architecture function.
Key responsibilities:
- Own architecture across applications, data, integration, cloud, platform and security.
- Establish architecture principles, standards, reference architectures and reusable patterns.
- Lead the Architecture Review Board and architecture decision-making process.
- Provide direction across Azure, APIs, event-driven architecture, data platforms and integration.
- Guide the modernisation and integration of complex legacy environments.
- Partner closely with Product and Engineering, providing pragmatic guardrails that enable delivery rather than slow it down.
- Advise leadership on build vs buy, low-code, AI and wider technology investment decisions.
What we’re looking for:
- 10+ years across Enterprise, Solution, Application, Integration, Data, Cloud or Platform Architecture.
- Strong practical architecture background with demonstrable examples of complex technology transformation and delivery.
- Experience establishing or maturing an architecture function/practice.
- Strong cloud-native experience, ideally Microsoft Azure.
- Experience across APIs, integration, event-driven/distributed architecture and modern data platforms.
- Strong architecture governance/design authority experience.
- Maritime, logistics, ERP, fleet management or another complex/asset-intensive industry would be advantageous.
This is not a purely strategic EA role. We are looking for someone who can set the direction, but remains close enough to the technology and technical teams to turn that direction into delivery.
