Legal Counsel (Marine Operations) – London

A leading shipping organisation is looking to hire a proactive Legal Counsel (Marine Operations) with 4+ years of PQE to join their growing office in London. With offices across Europe and Asia, the organisation prioritises excellence in commercial maritime services, fostering a culture of accountability, inclusivity, and innovation.
  
The Legal Counsel will be responsible for: 

• Providing legal advice and handling disputes related to charter party agreements reviewing and negotiating, freight, demurrage, and defence matters within the maritime industry.
• Advising on contractual disputes, handling claims, managing litigation or arbitration proceedings
• Ensuring compliance with shipping laws and regulations.
• Assisting the finance lawyer with loans/finance work 

This company is looking for a UK Qualified Solicitor with previous experience in FD&D (Offhire and Charterparty disputes) from a P&I Club, Private Practice or In-house.
