Dry Shipping Solicitor – Oslo

Our client, a well-established Norwegian law firm specialising in maritime law, is seeking an experienced UK qualified Solicitor to join their disputes team in Oslo. This represents a unique chance to practice maritime law at the highest level without the constraints of billable hours.

They are looking for a UK qualified Solicitor with 5+ years of PQE to handle complex FD&D cases. The successful candidate will:

• Advise on charterparty disputes, vessel arrests, and demurrage claims
• Handle disputes under contracts of affreightment including force majeure cases
• Draft tailor-made charterparty clauses for shipowners, charterers and offshore clients
• Manage arbitrations and commercial disputes
• Prepare pleadings and provide direct client advice
• Develop relationships with members and attend international conferences
