FD&D Claims Executive – Cyprus

A growing mutual company in Cyprus is seeking an exceptional, qualified Claims Executive to join their expanding team (Lawyer must have a minimum of 3 years PQE). About the Role
As a Claims Executive, you will manage a diverse portfolio of Freight, Demurrage & Defence (FD&D) claims while providing superior service to their  Members. You’ll build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the maritime industry and contribute to their reputation for exceptional claims handling.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Handle FD&D claims with expertise, ensuring clear communication with all parties
• Deliver responsive, personalised service tailored to individual Member needs
• Cultivate productive relationships with Members and industry partners
• Collaborate effectively in both internal and external team environments
• Develop and manage supplier relationships to optimise claims outcomes
• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing through training events and publications
• Represent the Club at industry events within the local market
• Conduct Member visits as needed to strengthen relationships

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 4 years of FD&D claims handling experience within a P&I Club, shipping company, or maritime industry setting
• Legal qualification or background is highly desirable
• Exceptional English language proficiency, both written and verbal
• Outstanding communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
• Self-motivated professional with demonstrated sound judgment
• Proven ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Quick learner who can rapidly apply new knowledge
• Strong negotiation capabilities and analytical thinking
• Established networking and relationship management expertise
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure
