Dry Cargo Shipbroker – Dubai

A leading steamer agent in the Indian ocean are looking for a new Dry Cargo Shipbroker to join their new set-up in Dubai. 
 
Covering both the East and West, the role will be responsible for brokerage, trading, freight, international trade and commodity markets, therefore the suitable candidate must hold the below; 

• Brokerage/trading skills with freight and international trade knowledge.
• Understanding of Commodity Markets
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ideally a relevant degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.

Candidates must be ambitious and hard-working – with the business only having been established across the past 4-years, there is a desire for strong business development skills and ability to make fixtures with time.
 
Candidates applying will need to know the market and hold charterers/owners network, with charts in hand and owners database ideally.
