Be the Finance Director of a fast-growing shipping group, taking full ownership of day-to-day financial management and shaping a lean team spread across multiple business lines.
You’ll be reporting to the CEO and Board, leading a finance team in Eastern Europe.
Tasked with developing the finance team, you’ll be improving controls and introducing best-practice processes.
Your core duties span group reporting, multi-currency consolidation, monthly and quarterly closes, budgeting, rolling forecasts, cash-flow management, audit liaison, and statutory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
You will refine management information packs, analyse vessel and project profitability, own tax filings, oversee outsourced payroll vendors, and steer treasury operations (FX, cash pooling, working-capital optimisation).
You will prepare financial models for major fundraising and debt negotiations, as well as covenant tracking and board papers that underpin those decisions.
Beyond the numbers, you’ll act as a commercial partner – challenging cost assumptions, supporting contract bids, advising on transfer-pricing, and helping non-finance leaders interpret KPIs.
Regular travel across Europe and West-African sites is expected.
You are likely to be based in Greece, the UK, or Ukraine.
