Senior Sales Representative – Sheerness

We hold an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales Representative to join a leading Operator who provide both freight and passenger services, looking to currently strengthen their UK activities.

Being a senior position, the accuried applicants are expected to hold deep Maritime industry knowledge along with solid experience within the Roll-on/Roll-off segments and a strong shipping network.

The role will be based in the South UK at their Sheerness offices, with the option for flexible working however candidates do need access to the office on a weekly basis. 

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities and potential cargo flows
• Create and implement strategic account plans and budgets for selected customers
• Manage offers and sales processes from beginning to end
• Maintain and nurture customer relationships, including handling claims, feedback, rebate follow-up, and credit policy implementation
• Provide critical input for traffic sales budgeting
• Maintain comprehensive customer data
• Deliver account-level reporting and share relevant market intelligence
• Support ongoing development of daily sales operations

Experience and Skills Required

• Proven experience in shipping line sales, particularly with knowledge of the UK import/export market
• Strong understanding of cargo shipping routes including connections across Europe
• Experience with RoRo vessels and container shipping services
• Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to identify and cultivate new business opportunities
• Self-motivated with strong initiative and strategic vision
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with operations teams
