Working for a global shipping company specializing in feeder and regional container services, the position as Line Manager will be responsible for the management of the logistics and operational aspects of their shipping lines – based from their Singaporean office.
Day-to-day tasks will involve:
- Operational Oversight: Ensure the efficient and timely execution of shipping operations for the designated line, including scheduling, routing, and vessel management.
- Coordination: Liaise with various departments such as logistics, customer service, and port operations to ensure smooth and effective service delivery.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze performance metrics to ensure that operations meet company standards and targets. This may involve addressing issues related to delays, cargo handling, and vessel performance.
- Customer Interaction: Work with customers to address their needs, resolve issues, and ensure high levels of satisfaction with the service provided.
- Compliance: Ensure that all operations comply with regulatory requirements and company policies, including safety, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports on operational performance, challenges, and achievements to higher management.
Requirements:
- Prior experience of the shipping industry, including working in a container shipping line.
- You will already be based in Singapore, and have a current Singapore EP as a minimum.
