P&I Claims Director

A leading global marine insurer is seeking an experienced shipping claims professional that would like to manage a team of executives. 

What you’ll do:

• Lead and manage a portfolio of complex, high‑value P&I claims
• Build strong relationships with Members, brokers, and industry stakeholders
• Mentor and support colleagues within the claims function
• Collaborate with Underwriting, FD&D and Loss Prevention teams
• Support business development and Member engagement
• Contribute to process improvement and claims best practice
• Travel to Asia to meet Members and regional teams

What we’re looking for:

• Background in P&I claims from an insurer, shipping company or law firm
• Law degree or Master Mariner qualification  
• Solid understanding of P&I rules and claims handling
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
• Experience managing or developing a team 
• Willingness to travel internationally
• Sponsorship to work in the UK available (if required)
