Asset Finance (Aviation) Associate – London

A leading international law firm is seeking an experienced Associate to join its well-regarded transport practice in London.
 
The team advises a broad range of international clients including airlines, lessors, financiers, insurers, shipowners and operators on complex, cross-border matters. Due to evolving client demand, the focus is now on hiring a mid-level Associate with between 2.5 and 5 years’ post-qualification experience.
 
You will work on a mix of non-contentious and advisory matters within the aviation sector, with exposure to asset finance transactions and, where relevant, shipping matters. The role will involve:

• Advising on aviation regulatory and liability matters
• Supporting and advising on aviation and transport asset finance transactions, including leasing, security arrangements and cross-border financings
• Managing complex cross-border commercial matters
• Working closely with partners on high-value, international mandates
• Supporting business development and client relationship management

Requirements: 

• 2.5–5 years’ PQE (England & Wales qualified or equivalent common law jurisdiction)
• Strong aviation experience is essential, or a mixed aviation and shipping background
• Experience in non – contentious matters preferred
• Strong drafting, analytical and client management skills
• Ability to work effectively within an international team environment
