A specialist mutual insurer is seeking to expand its London team with the addition of a Senior Claims & Underwriting Executive. For over 25 years, the company has established itself as the world’s leading provider of professional indemnity insurance to the transport industry, serving a global client base of marine and transport professionals.
Operating within a lean and highly specialist team, the role offers a unique blend of underwriting, claims handling, and marketing responsibilities, providing high levels of autonomy and international exposure.

- Underwrite new business and renewals across a portfolio of marine and transport assureds.
- Develop strong, long-term relationships with assureds, brokers, industry contacts, and legal advisors.
- Deliver efficient and cost-effective claims handling services to clients worldwide.
- Represent the company at international industry events, confidently networking and presenting.
- Support business growth by identifying and developing new sales opportunities.
- Contribute to marketing, loss prevention, and guidance materials, including webinars and presentations.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in marine and transport claims, with strong technical knowledge.
- Proven relationship management skills and the ability to work with clients, brokers, and stakeholders globally.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational and analytical abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Proactive and adaptable team player with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Willingness to travel in the UK and internationally to visit clients and attend industry events.
