Our client is an established international ship management company, supporting a diverse fleet of vessels worldwide. With a strong presence in the maritime sector, they provide technical and operational services to shipowners and are known for delivering efficient, cost-effective vessel management.
The Role
This is a hands-on role focused on the procurement of goods and services for a fleet of vessels, ensuring timely delivery and cost control. You will act as a key link between vessels, technical teams and suppliers, supporting smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end purchasing process in line with company procedures
- Source competitive quotations from approved suppliers
- Coordinate supply and delivery of goods/services to assigned vessels
- Liaise closely with Technical Coordinators and vessel teams
- Ensure requisitions are accurately captured in the procurement system
- Track orders and provide regular supply status updates
Fleet & Scope
- Supporting a fleet of commercial vessels (details to be confirmed at interview stage)
- Working closely with technical and operations teams across multiple vessels
- Fast-paced environment with regular interaction with vessels and suppliers
Systems
- Working with established maritime procurement systems (e.g. AMOS, ShipServ or similar)
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Maritime, Logistics or related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in purchasing, ideally within shipping or a technical environment
- Experience supporting vessel operations or working within a technical/operations department
- Familiarity with procurement systems (AMOS, ShipServ, SAP or similar preferred)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Fluent English
