We are seeking an experienced and proactive HSEQ Superintendent to join our client’s growing marine operations team supporting a fleet of Offshore Support Vessels (OSVs). The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the highest standards of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality compliance across fleet operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain the company’s HSEQ Management System across assigned vessels.
- Conduct onboard inspections, audits, and safety assessments.
- Ensure compliance with:
- ISM Code
- ISO Standards
- Flag State and Class requirements
- Client and regulatory requirements
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses.
- Monitor corrective and preventive actions to closure.
- Prepare and maintain HSEQ reports, KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Support vessel crews with HSEQ training and safety culture initiatives.
- Coordinate external audits and certification processes.
- Liaise with clients, auditors, and regulatory authorities when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an HSEQ Superintendent, Marine Superintendent, or similar role within the offshore/marine industry.
- Strong experience with Offshore Support Vessels (OSVs).
- Certified ISO Auditor qualification (ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 preferred).
- Thorough knowledge of:
- ISM Code
- ISPS
- MLC
- Maritime HSEQ regulations
- Experience conducting internal and external audits.
- Excellent reporting, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to travel offshore and internationally as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Marine or engineering background.
- NEBOSH or equivalent HSE qualification.
- Lead Auditor certification is an advantage.
- Experience working with DP vessels is desirable.
