RECRUITMENT OFFICER – CREWING FOR SELF-PROPELLED JACK-UP BARGES
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Recruitment Officer to oversee the sourcing, screening, and recruitment of marine crew for our client’s fleet of self-propelled jack-up barges.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring vessels are manned with qualified, compliant, and competent personnel to support offshore and marine operations safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit officers, engineers, deck crew, and technical personnel for self-propelled jack-up barges
- Source candidates through maritime recruitment networks, databases, and industry platforms
- Screen CVs, licences, STCW certifications, medicals, and offshore documentation
- Coordinate interviews, trade testing, and selection processes
- Arrange crew mobilisation, travel, visas, and joining formalities
- Maintain accurate crewing records and candidate databases
- Liaise closely with vessel operations and management teams regarding manpower requirements
- Ensure all crew comply with flag state, client, and company requirements
- Build and maintain a strong pool of qualified marine personnel
Requirements
- Previous experience in maritime or offshore crewing/recruitment
- Knowledge of self-propelled jack-up barge operations is highly desirable
- Familiarity with STCW, MLC, offshore certification, and seafarer documentation
- Strong communication, organisational, and administrative skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage urgent crew changes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and crewing/recruitment systems
- Experience within offshore, dredging, construction support, or marine sectors is an advantage
