A growing international marine insurance company is looking to hire a Business Development Manager specialising in yacht insurance to support the expansion of its global partner network.
This opportunity is ideal for a commercially driven insurance or yachting professional with a strong network and a passion for developing relationships. The successful candidate will play a key role in growing the company’s yacht insurance offering by identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and strengthening relationships across the international yachting market.
Working closely with underwriting, customer service, and operational teams, you will help shape the company’s growth strategy by expanding its B2B distribution network across Europe. The role offers significant exposure to the global yacht insurance market and the opportunity to make a direct impact within a growing international business.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and onboard new business partners, including brokers, yacht dealers, shipyards, yacht managers, and other industry stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective partners.
- Develop opportunities within the international yacht insurance market and support commercial growth initiatives.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities across Europe.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and partnership performance to identify new opportunities.
- Work towards agreed business development targets and contribute to overall company growth objectives.
- Collaborate with underwriting, customer service, and operational teams to deliver a high-quality client experience.
- Support the development and improvement of B2B partnership strategies.
Requirements
- Previous experience within insurance, yachting, financial services, or a related commercial environment.
- Existing network within the yacht, marine, insurance, or luxury asset sectors would be highly advantageous.
- Strong business development and relationship management skills.
- Commercially minded with a results-driven approach.
- Confident communicator with excellent networking and interpersonal abilities.
- Comfortable representing a company at industry events and building relationships internationally.
- Tech-savvy and interested in using digital tools and emerging technologies to support business growth.
- Fluent English required, alongside at least one additional European language (Spanish, French, German, Italian, Greek, or Portuguese).
