Offshore Energy Insurance Broker – London

A leading international insurance broker is looking to connect with experienced insurance professionals from the offshore energy, upstream and marine contractor sectors for opportunities within its growing London operation.
 
This is an opportunity for an experienced insurance professional with a strong understanding of offshore and energy risks who is interested in developing their career within the international marine insurance market.
 
The team works across a broad international client base, with particular exposure to offshore energy, upstream risks and marine contractors, alongside traditional marine business.
 
The opportunity could suit experienced brokers, account handlers, client executives, technicians or other insurance professionals with a background in offshore energy who are looking for a new challenge within a growing international marine platform.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with international offshore energy and marine clients.
• Support the placement and renewal of complex offshore and energy insurance programmes.
• Negotiate with insurers across Lloyd’s and international company markets.
• Prepare market submissions, review insurer terms and support the delivery of appropriate insurance solutions.
• Maintain regular contact with clients, insurers and other market stakeholders.
• Support the development of new and existing client relationships.
• Work closely with marine and specialty insurance colleagues across international offices.

 
Requirements

• Experience within offshore energy, upstream, marine contractors or a closely related insurance sector.
• Background in broking, account handling, client management, underwriting or insurance support.
• Good understanding of offshore and/or energy insurance risks.
• Experience dealing with international clients and insurance markets.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial mindset with an interest in developing client relationships.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a wider team.
• Fluent English required.
