The role
You’ll join the Post Fixtures team in Houston, supporting the Team Leader and running your own claims and recoveries from start to finish.

What you’ll do

• Monitor vessel schedules, update voyage estimates and flag P&L changes to the Chartering team
• Complete laytime calculations and raise invoices
• Build claims files in line with charter party terms
• Issue post-fixture claims within time bar
• Work with operations, commercial and legal teams to negotiate and settle claims and disputes
• Pay broker commissions
• Make sure every commitment is met in line with charter party terms, with full confidentiality

What you’ll bring

• Experience in shipping, post-fixture, laytime, demurrage or claims (preferred, not essential)
• A legal or contracts background (preferred, not essential)
• Strong organisation and a sharp eye for detail
• The ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (essential)
• IMOS or other shipping software experience (a plus)
• Flexibility to work outside office hours and at weekends when needed

You’ll already be based in the United States, ideally in or near Houston.
