Ideally, the right candidate will have contacts on the tonnage and the cargo side ideally based in the Danish market. Bunker Operator, Singapore

Spinnaker is working with a leading client in the shipping industry who are looking to recruit a Bunker Operator to be based in Singapore.

The responsibilities for this role are:

Liaise with Operation manager/Superintendent and vessel for bunker quantity requirement and if rework of estimation is required, to follow up till an acceptable quantity is determined.
Internally liaise with Operation manager/Superintendents for bunker quantity requirement and Technical Department on port locations that are able to meet the vessel’s bunker specifications.
Source for right quotation/price, evaluate and confirm supplier with endorsement from Commercial Department on the bunker price.
To be successful for this role the right candidate will have:

Diploma holder or it’s equivalent
2 years relevant working experience supporting bunker procurement (including LNG) and preferably 1 year of sailing stint onboard vessel
Basic IT knowledge, e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Email
Good communication skills – spoken and written English

Bunker Manager, Dubai

A major player in the dry bulk industry is looking for a Bunker Manager to join their team in Dubai.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become a crucial part of a renowned global operator developing a portfolio of suppliers that can reliably provide for the fleet of over 100 vessels working as part of a small bunkering team.

Reporting to the Head of Operations you will need to be experienced in handling high volumes and managing risk whilst focusing on the physical purchasing of bunkers.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a shipbroking or chartering role and have completed a maritime degree.

Spinnaker is working with a leading client in the shipping industry who are looking to recruit a Chartering Manager (containers) to be based in London.

The Chartering Manager is responsible for securing employment for the Company’s vessels worldwide at optimum rates and terms as per the authority of the Commercial Director, as well as marketing the Company’s fleet to clients and potential clients.

The ideal candidate for this role should possess 5-10 years working experience in ship-owning and broker firms, have good knowledge of the working dynamics of the chartering market, good negotiation skills.
Knowledge in S&P would be an advantage.

Key responsibilities for this role are:

Build and maintain relationships directly with clients and brokers in areas of responsibility
Provide the Company with daily market fixture information, open cargoes and opinions on market trends.

Dry bulk operator, Greece

Spinnaker is working with an internationally recognised Owner/Operator of a fleet of Dry Bulk Carriers.
Due to expansion, an opportunity has become available for a dry bulk operator to join their team in Greece.

Some of the responsibilities for this role are:

Ensuring the vessel’s voyage is performed efficiently and ensuring costs are kept to a minimum.
Calculating and preparing hire statements
Arrange and manage any advance payments from charterers and final settlements when the voyage is complete.
Be in charge of a vessel or fleet of vessels and be involved with tasks such as post fixture, bunker intakes and agency appointments.
Liaising with insurers and P&I
The Qualifications required for this role are:

At least 2 years’ experience in the Operations department.
Very good knowledge of the English language.
Computer literate.
